This auction is for a Super 8 silent black and white print of the Castle Films comedy THE GREAT McGONIGLE starring W. C. Fields (with dialogue printed at the bottom of the screen).

The print dates from the late 1970s and comes with its original Castle Films box. The film was purchased from Blackhawk Films by the Mid Hudson Library System, Poughkeepsie, NY and was removed from circulation in 1984.  The film is mounted on a 200 foot plastic reel and the running time is about 10 minutes.

The picture quality is excellent, very sharp for a Super 8 film and the print is complete with added leader and some minor scratches but no vinegar. The box is in good condition overall with corner splits.

The footage in this print is taken from the W.C. Fields Universal feature "The Old Fashioned Way." It is being listed here for the ridiculously low starting price of $0.99!
